Basic information

One of the types of information that is obtained through a questionnaire from the respondents. This information relates directly to the research problem. As a general rule, basic information should be obtained first, followed by classification, and finally, identification information. The basic information is of greatest importance to the research project and should be obtained first, before taking the risk of alienating the respondents by asking a series of personal questions.
