Paired comparison scaling/test

A method of ranking objects by presenting all possible pairs of the objects, one pair at a time, to subjects who identify which of the two objects possesses more of the characteristic of interest. Example: three brands of soft drink may be ranked by presenting the three pairs A-B, A-C, and B-C to subjects, who state their preference for one brand in each pair. It is the most widely used comparative scaling technique.
