Trade-oriented sales promotion

One of the two commonly used sales promotion activities usually undertaken by the firms by providing incentives to ncrease the sales of a product or service. This is targeted toward marketing intermediaries such as wholesalers, distributors and retailers to carry a product and make an extra effort to promote or “push” it to their customers. This types of sales promotion includes promotional and merchandizing allowances, price deals, sales contests, and trade shows.
