True experimental design

A type of experimental design which is distinguished by the fact that the researcher can randomly assign test units to experimental groups assign and also randomly assign treatment (independent variable) to experimental groups. Included in this category are the pre-test post-test control group design, the posttest-only design, and the Solomon four-group design.
