Viral marketing (word-of-mouse)
A type of strategy where a company makes an effort of getting customers to sell a product on behalf of the company that creates it. This approach is best suited to the Web because e-mails can be sent easily. This happens when individuals forward e-mail to friends, co-workers, family and others on their email lists, they are using what we call viral marketing. This is also called word-of-mouse. Viral marketing works and it is free.
