Co-op delivery system

In the context of retailing it refers to one of the systems of delivering the merchandise up to the house or premises of the customer. In this system several retailers jointly own and operate the delivery service. This system offers significant economies of scale because the number of deliveries in a particular geographic area can be increased and the cost per delivery can be significantly reduced.
