Containerization

One of the ways of combining two or more transportation modes, which has emerged in the recent years. This is helping the companies particularly shippers in managing logistics. Containerization consists of putting the goods in boxes or trailers that are easy to transfer between two transportation modes. Fir example, piggyback refers to the use of rail and trucks; fishiback, water and trucks; trainship, water and rail; and airtruck, an\ir and trucks. All this has become possible because of containerization.
