Metamodernism

A term, holding a recent reaction to modernism and postmodernism, combining both. It was introduced in 2010 by T. Vermeulen and R. Akker in an article, entitled “Notes on metamodernism”. They describe the 2000s as consisting of modern attitudes along with the post-modernity of 1980s and 1990s.
