Modernism (Modernist movement)

Generally this term refers the intensive changes that occurred in all forms of art, social organization and economic development after the industrialization of late 19th and early 20th century, mainly in Europe and North America. Huge array of subgenres, including Symbolism, Expressionism, Futurism, Surrealism and others, stemmed from Modernism at certain periods, characterized by significant breaks of traditions and aesthetic norms.
