Concurrent validity

An assessment of how accurate a measure of an object, state, or event is now, as opposed to how accurate it will be in the future (predictive validity). One measure of concurrent validity is how comparable the results of Instrument A and Instrument B are when both are used to measure the same characteristics in the same object at the same point in time.
