Nonparametric tests

Class of statistical tests, also known as distributionfree tests, which are applicable when the data reflect nominal or ordinal measurement or when the data reflect interval measurement but the assumptions required for the appropriate parametric test are not satisfied. These tests can further classified based on whether one, two or more samples are involved.
